In Setúbal you must see...

Setúbal is located on the northern bank of the Sado river estuary, approximately 40 Km south of Portugal's capital, Lisbon. Setubal as a great wealth, Arrabida a natural park that offers beautiful beaches and unspoilt nature. By the cost we find the beaches of Albarquel, Galapos, Figueirinha and Portinho da Arrábida. A colony of dolphins lives in the Sado River, and across the river from Setúbal lies the peninsula of Tróia, where a new luxury resort is planned to replace the old resort. The Bay of Setúbal is also one of the most beautiful bays in the world declared by UNESCO.

 

In Setúbal, we find the main historical monument of the city of Setúbal, Monastery of Jesus, a 15th-16th century church, the São Julião Church, and a 16th-17th century fortress São Filipe Castle, now turned into a luxury hotel. In our days is known for been the home of José Mourinho, the world famous football coach. The city is also known for the food, the fresh fish that is in all the menus of the restaurants.
