A Piscina do Diabo / Devil´s Pool

 

 

As Cataratas de Vitória ou Quedas de Vitória são uma das mais espectaculares cataratas do mundo. Situam-se no Rio Zambeze, na fronteira entre a Zâmbia e o Zimbabué. Têm cerca de 1,5 km de largura, e altura máxima de 128 m. Entre Setembro e Dezembro, devido ao baixo nível das águas, é possível nadar na ponta das cataratas numa piscina que a natureza formou. É sem duvida alguma, um local lindíssimo.

 

 

 

Wikitravel: You will have the opportunity to stand in shallow water, 2 inches (literally) from where the water gushes over the edge of the falls, and swim in Devil's Pool, a reasonable current-free pool a couple of feet from the top of the falls, close enough to lean over the edge. This makes fantastic photo opportunities with a permanent rainbow from the mist of the falls behind you.
